Italy vs Germany

According to EETimes, Italian mobile operator H3G has set up a good urban coverage on DVB-H during the soccer world cup. It seems that the signal strenght has been tested up to 160 km/h (BTW, the max speed on highway here in Italy is 130 km/h!!).
On the other hand, in Germany the same journalist experienced a poor video quality on T-Mobile network. (via Gamdala).

I do not consider myself a soccer fanatic, but the world cup should have some influence on me because it's the second post where I compare Italian and German technologies. :-o

Translation of the previous comment:
Do you think mobileTV will succeed? In your opinion what are the key factors for its growth?

The trend is to built mobile phones that converge several electronic devices (music player, camera, tv....when a phone with expresso coffee machine??) but because of reduced capabilities (small screen, camera resolution,...) we cannot expect similar user experience.
It's true that top level camera phone is now comparable to stand alone camera but concerning tv it's another story!
Why should we prefer enojying tv on mobile phone? If we are at home lying on sofa, it's quite impossible it happens except if your son is watching cartoons and your favourite program has started.
But if you don't have neither another tv nor tv enabled mobile phone, you will probably look for buying another tv instead of a DVBH phone, and it's not a matter of price.
We may enjoy mobile tv on a park bench, waiting for a bus or in a car during traffic jam...
All those circumstances happens incidentally and their duration could be very limited (hopefully for traffic jam) so my first point is to have on-demand contents.
Furthermore, the contents should be localized. This is a key concept not only for mobile tv, but for all mobile services in general.
Third point: the cost.
A lot of words have been said about data services fares to explain why are not so widespread despite of people continue buying last generation phones.
Well, if we look for a moment at the Japanes market we discover what I said is not true....data services represent real added values and people use them! Is it because data fares are 1000 times lower than European ones?
